Jodi attended the University of Nebraska completing a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture before studying further to complete her Master Degree majoring in Animal Science. Jodi started her career with Danbred, in Nebraska in addition to working as a Research Assistant at the University of Nebraska.
She went onto join Cobb Vantress managing a hatchery in Cleveland, Georgia before being selected to join the Cobb World Technical Support Team as a Statistical Analyst providing support to Cobb operations and customer across the globe.
In 2004 Jodi relocated to South Africa and started Irvine’s Africa focusing on supporting and supplying the Livestock and Poultry Industry in Sub Sahara Africa.
Jodi, with her passion for Agriculture and unwavering commitment to customer service has assisted countless customers across Sub Saharan Africa to build and grow their businesses in the region. Under her guidance, Irvine’s Africa, has grown to one of the largest exporters and most trusted suppliers to the Livestock and Poultry Industry in Africa.

Craig Irvine is the CEO of Irvine’s Group, one of the largest integrated chicken producers in Sub Sahara Africa, with over 2,000 team members and operations in Zimbabwe, Botswana, Mozambique, South Africa, Mauritius, Kenya and Tanzania.
Craig holds a Bachelor of Science (Cum Laude) in Agriculture specializing in Animal and Poultry Science and has worked at Irvine’s in an informal and formal capacity since the age of 8. He started his formal career working for Cobb Vantress in Europe and the USA before returning to Zimbabwe to join Irvine’s in an official capacity in 2000. In 2004 Craig moved to South Africa and has been instrumental in driving the growth of Irvine’s outside of Zimbabwe whilst continuing to play a vital role in the growth of Irvine’s Zimbabwe. In 2019 he was recognized as the Master category winner at the Southern Africa EY World Entrepreneur Awards showcasing his contribution to the growth of the industry in Africa.
Today the Irvine’s Group has operations in 5 countries in Africa whilst supporting and supplying over 20 countries in Africa through Cobb Africa and Irvine’s Africa. This commitment to the continent ensures Irvine’s has large impact across the Animal Agri Business Ecosystem uplifting the lives of thousands of people in communities across the continent. Craig is a strong believer in empowering people to improve their lives and this married with his entrepreneurial spirit and passion for the poultry industry has led to the growth of Irvine’s with the purpose of “Changing Lives in Africa by Producing Affordable Protein and Growing Local Businesses.”
